Save Navaruna

Navaruna Chakravarty, a class 7th student of St. Xavier School, 12 yr old, abducted by unidentified criminals from her home in posh area of Muzaffarpur, Bihar on the intervening night of 18-19th September, 2012. She and her parents went to bed around 12 "o" clock in the night and when the parents went into her bedroom at 4 am in the morning, she was not there. 3 rods in the window were broken. Due to fear, the girl urinated in her bed. Very same day the father of the girl Mr. Atulya Chakravarty went to police station and filed complaints regarding this ghastly incidents. The police is propagating the fabricated story saying that this is a love-affairs, therefore we are unable to do anything to recover the girl. Ms. Maitri Chakravarty, mother of Navaruna, along with a lady relative went to meet the Cheif Minister of Bihar Sh. Nitish Kumar but she was stopped by woman police officer in mufti, who snatched away the representation from her hand and sent them out.

The irony of this case is that the S.I. of the case Mr. Amit Kumar came to Delhi and threatened the students of Save Navaruna campaign activist not to conduct any agitation, public fharna, meeting with higher authority in this regard. It is Now clear that Bihar Govt. and Bihar Police went up on suppressing the whole matter by giving mortal threats to the students, who are sper heading the campaign for the safe return of Navaruna.

The print and electronic media have been covering this whole pathetic occurrence for almost 2 months, which undoubtedly is in your knowledge. We, the well wishers of Navaruna, pleased to you, please convey our deep concern to the Bihar Govt. to take necessary and urgent action for the safe return of Navaruna.
